Black
Bears have been feeding in Sunset Point. It is imperative that no food
sources be left out overnight, including bird feeders- even humming bird
feeders, pet food, and garbage. They have a very strong sense of
smell. The following helpful information is from the state game
commission.
Protect the birds, the ecosystem of the lake and us!
Don't feed the ducks and geese! When
food is readily available they stay rather than continue on their path!
If you have grass, don't mow down to the waters edge. Leave
25 feet between the water and your lawn so there is no comfortable
resting place.
When cleaning feces off your beach and dock, bag it. DO NOT SWEEP IT THE WATER!
It pollutes the entire cove.
The Lake Wallenpaupack Watershed Management District
recently sent information concerning the potential for 3 invasive
species that could severely damage the waters of Lake Wallenpaupack if
brought to its waters. Please read Protect Lake Wallenpaupack.
BULLETIN
BOARD
PPL has notified us as front lot owners that they are compromising their
ruling about non-motorized rowboats, kayaks, or any other small
watercraft on the beach during the summer months. They may be kept
there while being used, but ask that they be removed if they will not
be used for an extended period of time.
Motorized craft like fishing boats and jet skis may not be beached on the shoreline.
All motorized watercraft are counted in the total of permissable slips according to the homeowners agreement with PPL.
